$400 credit for CPD online

ANMF (Vic Branch) member benefit

ANMF (Vic Branch) members can access continuing professional development learning online (CPD Portal) to help add to their skills and knowledge and complete annual CPD hours required for registration.

Full financial ANMF (Vic Branch) members are entitled to $400 worth of credit (equivalent to 20 hours) per financial year for CPD Portal learning.

Primary carer leave members receive $120 credit. Students and associate members receive $80 credit per financial year.

Your credit begins from July 1 and is renewed at the beginning of each financial year.

The CPD Portal offers high quality, evidence-based, peer-reviewed modules and online seminars which can be accessed by desktop computer, tablet or mobile phone. A dedicated team of professionals are responsible for updating modules and developing new ones. After successfully completion of assessment tasks, learners receive a certificate. All CPD learning is automatically recorded in the learner’s professional portfolio, available through the portal. Learners can also record employment, education and workplace project details in the CPD professional portfolio.

ANMF (Vic Branch) is proud to have partnered with leading authorities to deliver specialist modules. For example, The Alfred Hospital’s Victorian Adults Burns Service produced the minor burns module; Alzheimer’s Australia (Victoria) produced the module on supporting people with dementia and Diabetes Australia has produced three diabetes-related modules.

ANMF (Vic Branch) Secretary Lisa Fitzpatrick says the CPD Portal offers members dynamic, up-to-date and practical learning.

‘The modules offered are also flexible, allowing learners to complete the requirements in their own time and in multiple locations,’ Ms Fitzpatrick says.

Before you complete a module you will be asked for feedback, which will help us to update the program to meet the needs of practising nurses, midwives and personal care workers..

Learners can find CPD Portal help 24/7 by calling the CPD helpline on 1800 084 481 or emailing CPDportal@anmfvic.asn.au

The CPD Portal is a great addition to ANMF (Vic Branch) education offerings, with face-to-face CPD available at our Education Centre, 535 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne.
