Fully financial means your ANMF membership fees are up-to-date and you are paying the correct membership category.

You are not fully financial if you’re paying:
  • the part-time category rate (working 24 hours or less a week), but you are working 25 hours or more – this means you should be paying the full-time category rate
  • the primary care leave rate, but you have returned to work
  • the EN rate, but you’re working as an RN
  • the student rate, but you now have your registration and you are working as a nurse or midwife.
If you’re not paying the membership category that reflects the hours you work, you won’t be fully financial. This matters if you require ANMF services. Industrial, professional and legal* advice and representation are only provided to members who were fully financial at the time of the incident for which you are seeking assistance and when performing professional nursing and midwifery services.

Don’t risk not being covered when you need ANMF the most. Update your membership details and check your membership category via the member portal or email ANMF membership via membership@anmfvic.asn.au

It might be. It depends on how many hours you work each week. ANMF’s part-time membership category is for members who work 24 hours or less. If you work more than 24 hours a week, you’ll need to pay the full-time membership category.

If you are having a work-related issue or concern read the information on the Member Assistance page. If you still have an inquiry contact the ANMF (Vic Branch) Member Assistance:

ANMF has a primary carer leave membership. This means we’ll still be there for any work-related issues which arise during your leave.

This membership includes disputes over workplace change or return to work arrangements, requests to extend or vary your leave, or issues that arise from ‘keeping in touch’ days. It also provides professional indemnity insurance for ‘keeping in touch’ days.

As you’ll still have continuing professional development obligations, you’ll be entitled to an $120 credit for modules and case studies on the ANMF CPD Portal.

It’s important to remember to update your membership on your return to work so you are fully covered.

Notify ANMF membership of your planned leave dates and your new rate will apply from the start of your leave. We’ll also send you our ‘Parental leave and returning to work guide for ANMF members’.

Contact membership at membership@anmfvic.asn.au

The monthly member magazine 'On the Record' became an easy-to-read digital publication - a monthly email and news website - in October 2018. The new publication is much easier to read on your mobile and is accessible via the news function on the ANMF Diary App.

At the same time we introduced a new quarterly print magazine called 'The Handover', when Federal ANMF decided to reduce the number of issues of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Journal and launch the ANMJ website. There is no digital option for 'The Handover'.

If you’re not receiving our 'On the Record', ANMF e-news or campaign and event emails, you may have previously unsubscribed from one of our communications or we may have the wrong email. If you are not receiving 'The Handover' via snail mail you may need to update your postal address. Fill out our re-subscribe inquiry form via anmfvic.asn.au/resubscribe and let’s get back in touch.

Once you have successfully submitted your application for membership, you will receive an email confirming your submission was successful.

Your application will then be processed by the membership department and once accepted, you will receive an official welcome email/letter which includes your membership number within one business day.
