Managing your ANMF membership FAQs

You can change your ANMF (Vic Branch) membership details on the ANMF (Vic Branch) Member Portal. Alternatively, contact our membership team on  (03) 9275 9313 and a membership officer will be able to assist.

In the Member Portal you can review and update your:

  • contact details
  • workplace details
  • your membership status
  • direct debit of your membership fees

You can also:

  • download your professional indemnity certificate for registration renewal, tax statements and CPD records
  • view your current pay rate, EBA or award based on your workplace
  • request our reduced parental care leave membership if you are taking parental leave for the birth or adoption of a child.

You will need your membership number and password to login to the Members Portal.

If you have forgotten your password, you will need to reset it by selecting ‘forgot password’ in the login screen on the member portal.

ANMF membership entitles you to access free and unlimited online education via our Education Portal. There are almost 300 online modules covering a broad range of clinical specialities, for nurses, midwives and personal care workers. Members can plan and record activities using the eportfolio and print a CV.

Eligible members can download their latest professional indemnity insurance certificate from the member portal.

We recommend you download and print your professional indemnity insurance certificate each year and keep it in your ANMF Professional Portfolio in the event you are audited by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

Fully financial means your ANMF membership fees are up-to-date, and you are paying the correct membership category.

You are not fully financial if you’re paying:

  •  the part-time category rate (working 24 hours or less a week), but you are working 25 hours or more – this means you should be paying the full-time category rate
  • the primary care leave rate, but you have returned to work
  • the EN rate, but you’re working as an RN
  • the student rate, but you now have your registration, and you are working as a nurse or midwife.

If you’re not paying the membership category that reflects the hours you work, you won’t be fully financial and thishis matters if you require ANMF services. Industrial, professional and legal* advice and representation are only provided to members who were fully financial at the time of the incident for which you are seeking assistance and when performing professional nursing and midwifery services.

Don’t risk not being covered when you need ANMF the most. Update your membership details and check your membership category via the member portal or email ANMF membership via membership@anmfvic.asn.au

*conditions apply.

It might be. It depends on how many hours you work each week. ANMF’s part-time membership category is for members who work 24 hours or less. If you work more than 24 hours a week, you’ll need to pay the full-time membership category.

All members, nurses, midwives and carers can opt to receive an ANMF professional portfolio to record their continuing professional development and education.

Additional pages to record your yearly professional development can be downloaded from the Members Menu.

Members can download their ANMF tax receipts from the member portal.

Tax statements for the previous seven financial years are also available via the portal if required.

ANMF has a primary carer leave membership. This means we’ll still be there for any work-related issues which arise during your leave.

This membership includes disputes over workplace change or return to work arrangements, requests to extend or vary your leave, or issues that arise from ‘keeping in touch’ days. It also provides professional indemnity insurance for ‘keeping in touch’ days.

As you’ll still have continuing professional development obligations, you'll still have access to hundreds of online CPD modules on the ANMF Education Portal.

It’s important to remember to update your membership on your return to work so you are fully covered.

Notify ANMF membership of your planned leave dates and your new rate will apply from the start of your leave. We’ll also send you our ‘Parental leave and returning to work guide for ANMF members’.
