Delegates Conference

Annual Delegates Conference

Thursday 27 & Friday 28 June 2024

Registration for the 2024 Annual Delegates Conference is now closed

The 2024 ANMF (Vic Branch) Annual Delegates Conference is taking place in Melbourne on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 June.

This two-day conference provides an inspiring and informative program exploring industrial, professional, workplace safety and social justice issues that concern nurses, midwives, student nurses and midwives, and personal carer workers – as well as giving delegates the opportunity to vote on resolutions and help shape the direction of their union.

The Delegates Conference provides delegates with a fantastic opportunity to meet their peers, find out more about how their union works and the issues that are common across the board, feel confident about approaching their union for assistance with workplace, OHS and professional issues.

Submission for motions has now closed

Motions can be submitted by signing into the Annual Delegates Conference registration site, and visiting the motions page.

All delegates attending the conference must meet with their colleagues at members’ meetings or, at a minimum, with other delegates at their workplace - via a Job Reps/HSRs meeting - to propose motions for the 2024 Conference. Motions cannot be submitted without first holding either a members or representatives meeting to discuss motions to be submitted on behalf of your whole workplace.

Previous successful motions from the past four conferences can be searched on the Delegates Conference website on the resolutions tab. Please use this search function prior to submitting a motion to confirm whether your proposed motion has already been passed and is not needed to be submitted for consideration again.

Please note: given the timing of negotiations of the public sector EBAs (both general and mental health) motions for consideration of inclusion in the LOCs for these two EBAs will not be accepted for the 2024 conference.

For further information on submitting motions, please visit the motions page on your conference site.
