OHS Conference 2017

ANMF Occupational Health and Safety Conference

27 October 2017

The Occupational Health & Safety Conference is a full-day event presented by the ANMF (Vic Branch) on Friday 27 October 2017.

Occupational Health & Safety issues have the potential to impact employees, patients and employers.

The overlap of the healthcare environment as a workplace can place apparently conflicting priorities and work demands on nurses, midwives and personal carers. Prioritising patient safety over staff safety (or vice versa) should not need to occur if appropriate systems are in place to ensure the safety of everyone.

If you want to know more, register to attend the ANMF Occupational Health & Safety Conference.

The conference is aimed at all levels of nursing and midwifery; it will feature expert speakers who will discuss:

  • return to work & workers compensation
  • occupational violence and aggression
  • organisational culture
  • obligations: duty of care to staff vs patient
  • provide you with key learnings, and
  • inspire and provoke conversation

The ANMF Occupational Health & Safety attracts up to six hours of CPD required by the NMBA for registration renewal.
