Health and Safety Representatives. Keeping nurses safe.

Nurses, midwives and personal care workers working in health and other industries are exposed to many hazards including manual handling, violence and aggression, bullying and harassment, stress, shiftwork, hazardous substances and infection diseases. The HSRs are the highly dedicated representatives who work to maintain a safe and professional workplace.

On this page, you can access all the information required to get HSR coverage in your workplace, report violence and aggression, learn about regular training for HSRs and deputy HSRs. As specialised information becomes available on the risks faced by nurses in the workplace they will be updated on this page. Specialist information for HSRs is available on the Reps page.
