Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 – Upgrade

ACCREDITED COURSE

Do you already hold TAE40110? Upgrade to meet the new requirements:

Education in health is a growing industry. Experienced nurses, midwives and personal care workers wanting to work in education in their workplace or in an undergraduate setting often require a formal qualification. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) is the core qualification for employment in the vocational education sector and increasingly in health education.

Trainers, assessors and clinical nurse educators are required to meet the new requirements by 1 April 2019.

TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is the latest qualification for trainers, assessors and clinical nurse educators. By 1 April 2019, there will be an update to trainer and assessor credential requirements to ensure the VET workforce has appropriate skills in designing and developing assessment tools (TAEASS502) and identifying and evaluating LLN requirements (TAELLN411). If you wish to undertake work that requires this qualification, you must hold these two units in addition to holding TAE40110 qualification. You may have already completed one or both units. If not you can enroll into any of these units as a stand alone to meet the requirements. Alternatively, you can choose to upgrade to obtain the latest qualification.

Upgrade option. If you have completed the previous qualification and want to gain the new TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, you can apply for the 'upgrade' option.

Standalone units of competency. We also offer workshops so you can choose to only study the standalone units of competency (e.g. TAELLN411 and/ or TAEASS502) you need so you can meet the new minimum standards and continue in your role after 1 April 2019.  See upgrade workshop dates.

Register your interest in upgrading. Use our worksheet to check your units against the requirements or upload your Cert IV credentials in our register your interest in upgrading form
