The Victorian public sector nurses and midwives 2016 enterprise bargaining agreement was approved by the Fair Work Commission on 16 December 2016 and became operational on 23 December 2016.

The mental health agreement, the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement 2012-2016 expired on 31 March. After 125 days of protected industrial action and 43 negotiating meetings a statewide members meeting endorsed a proposed settlement, subjected to Victorian Government approval, on Wednesday 21 September 2016.
Drafting of the Victorian public sector mental health services enterprise agreement is complete. All mental health nurse employees will be able to vote in the ballot to approve the agreement. The electronic ballot will open at 9am, Monday 30 January and close at 5pm, Sunday 12 February 2017. See update 36 below for details on how to vote.
